Z is made up of three unique spaces - Zoom, Zest, and Zone.

Stay and Play
A safe, stimulating environment for under 5s to play, discover, and grow.
Zoom is our adventure soft play and sensory space, designed for children under 5 to safely explore, climb, and make new friends. Our play area is filled with age-appropriate equipment, soft surfaces, and engaging activities to spark imagination and movement. Zoom is the perfect place for little ones to burn off energy while parents relax nearby, 7 days a week.
Zest
Food and Drink
Fresh, tasty options for all ages—enjoy a treat while the kids play.
Zest is our vibrant café and kitchen, serving a delicious menu of fresh food, snacks, and drinks for all ages. Enjoy barista coffee, homemade cakes, healthy lunches, and kids’ favourites in a bright, welcoming space. Whether you’re catching up with friends, working remotely, or just taking a break, Zest is the perfect spot to unwind while your children play.
Zone
Classes and activities for children and adults — learn, play, and exercise.
Zone is our deluxe studio, event and activity hub, offering a packed timetable of classes, workshops, and events for both kids and grown-ups. Premium audio-visual and lighting equipment make Zone fully customisable; creating unique, unforgettable experiences. Whether you are hosting a movement/fitness class, party or looking for that perfect content creation space, Zone is here for you!

Fitness
Stay active and healthy with our range of fitness classes for all ages and abilities.
Our mission is to nurture a lifelong love of movement & curate a welcoming community, where families can stay active, learn new skills, play together, and socialise. You can even grab a tasty spot to eat after your work out in our Zest cafe downstairs.
Zone Fitness offers a vibrant mix of specialist sessions, activities, and experiences for children, parents, and caregivers.
Zone allows your fitness routine to be flexible to suit you and your family.
- Savour some much needed ‘me time’ working out alone in any of our specialist adult classes
- Get sweaty exercising together as a family in any of our multigenerational sessions
- Spend some quality one on one time together with the youngest members of your family. Mums, dads, nans, grandads & everybody else all very much welcome to accompany the little ones
Whether it is postnatal fitness, toddler yoga, Kettlebells or even mini Marshall arts, Zone has you covered.
Zone is our deluxe, air conditioned studio where our coloured LED lights allow each class to have its own unique mood and energy. Morning Yoga is a chilled oasis washed in a haze of warm orange glow, Glutecamp is a hot pink paradise of squats & pulses - the closest thing to a nightclub experience in a fitness class. Meanwhile, Sophit family fitness gets everyone moving in a punchy purple, high energy HIIT class, & KB Mum & Baby Pilates is an intimate, restorative session washed in baby blues & pastels.
Zone coaches are fully qualified and vetted to curate a quality, premium group fitness class experience. Whether it is one of our energetic HIIT or Kettlebell classes, or one of our revitalising yoga, pilates and Barre specialist sessions, you can embrace the class safely in the knowledge that your coach is experienced and able to adapt the session to your individual needs.
Use your credits flexibly across any class - for you or for the family - and revive your work out schedule from the rigidity of the treadmill, to the freedom and vibe of Zone.
Activities and Events
If fitness isn’t your thing, don’t worry - we’ve still got plenty of weekly activities & special events to keep you & your family entertained. More than ‘just that kids soft play’, Z aims to offer a diverse range of fun classes that can also support your child’s development socially, emotionally & physically.

All class attendees are welcome to enjoy a complimentary soft play session before or after your activity, so you can really make a morning / afternoon of it!

At Z, we LOVE to party. Celebrate your special milestones with us, with a choice of exclusive and non-exclusive hire options. Our qualified events manager takes the stress out of planning your special day.

Where can I find Z?
We are located at No 1 The Forge, Stockton Heath, WA4 6HW. We are right at the front of The Forge shopping centre facing onto London Road, next to Clarks Shoes, a 2 minute walk from Marks & Spencers Food Hall.
Where can I park?
We have a carpark just a 2 minute walk from our door! Search on your maps for The Forge Car Park, WA4 6HW. It is free on Sundays, but operates on an hourly basis Monday-Saturday. There is a machine to pay cash or card in the car park, but the easiest thing to do is download RingGo car parking app before visiting us, then you can pay via the app on arrival all from the comfort of your car.
Can I do anything else whilst in Stockton Heath?
Absolutely, we are so proud of our beautiful village. Stockton Heath is awash with fantastic independent shops and restaurants including Borrowed Boutique, Juniper, Lemon Tree & All That Jazz (our personal favourite, selling anything from home furnishings to cleaning products!). Equally, we have some great nature walks on our door step too, so why not make a day of it with a visit to Z, followed by a spot of shopping and a walk to Walton Hall and Gardens!
Is Z buggy friendly?
Yes of course! We have a buggy park near our main reception.
Do you charge for adults?
Nope, as many adults as you like welcome free of charge.
Do you have baby changers / disabled toilets?
Yes, of course - we even stock some essentials such as wipes free of charge - just in case you're caught short!
Is there a lift?
Unfortunately not. The main soft play & cafe is on the ground floor, but our studio for fitness classes & events is upstairs. However, we always have a member of staff on hand to assist in getting you up the stairs, or you can leave your buggy in the buggy park downstairs to make things easier for you if you are attending a class / event upstairs.
Is there a time limit on my play session?
Nope. We loosely say we may need the table back after 2 hours if we are busy, but if we are able to (subject to availability) you can stay for as long as you like with no extra charge - life is stressful enough!
Do I have to pay upfront / is there a cancellation charge for a play session?
Nope. Simply reserve your table online & pay upon arrival. Again, life is stressful enough!
Can I stay for a soft play session or eat in the cafe before / after a class?
Absolutely, your ticket to any fitness or activity class / event gives you complimentary access to Zoom soft play and Zest cafe before or after your class (subject to availability on the day, albeit we always try to reserve space for our class attendees as best we can).

About Us
Z was founded by local parents, Olivia and Dan, who wanted to create a welcoming space designed specifically for modern families in Cheshire.
Having both worked in corporate careers for many years, when they became parents they realised something was missing in their local community in Stockton Heath.
Whilst the village is beautiful with the perfect mix of independent & well known eateries, bars, retailers, and a range of amenities, Olivia and Dan felt the village needed a space specifically for young families.
A space to socialise, eat, drink, learn and exercise together. Taking inspiration from their son, in 2025, they took the plunge to leave their careers & pursue building Z
